How do I transfer Lacerte from one computer to another?

Copy Lacerte Directory in Part 1

Copy the whole C:Lacerte folder from the source computer's local drive to the destination computer's C: drive at the same location.

The data, settings, and the majority of the software files are all included when copying the whole C:Lacerte folder.

A crossover cable or an external USB drive can be used for this. For more advice, kindly contact your system administrator.


Installing the Program in Part 2 Tax Years 2007-Present:

Select Computer from the Start menu.

Windows 10 computers: pick This PC in the left pane when you launch File Explorer from the taskbar.

Then, open the??Tax (?? = two-digit tax year), for instance, -16Tax, in the Lacerte folder.

Open the Setup folder after that. (?? = tax year with two digits)

To begin the installation process, double-click the TaxSetup.exe file.
